Pasteur, coonoor - Will it survive?
The Pasteur institute, coonoor is renowned for its rabbis vaccine. It was founded on 1906 and has been with Health Department of Government of India. Rabbis and other vaccines are manufactured and sold at low price to help the poor people. In the year 2002 World Health Organization (WHO) officials inspected Pasteur and recommended world class quality and infrastructure. These recommendations were not followed and its license was canceled by the Health Ministry. Recently the Health Ministry inspected the institute and allowed it to continue as research institute with out laying off employees.
